After 7 weeks of lectures/tutorials, its finally time for a short break. I won't deny that the break is really for us to catch up with those undone tutorials etc.. But honestly, the temptation to slack my way thru the week is way too high ! haha..
Attended the RSAF-NTU talk on Friday.
Hmm, I was actually quite impressed by the perks of signing on in the Air Force. Starting pay as an Air Engineering Officer (AEO) is $3740-$4200 lor. That is like 1k higher than that in the 'civilian' world la. Of course, there's a catch to it. (Life is like that one.. You can't have your cake and eat it de.) You lose 'freedom'.. And not many are willing to sacrifice something as precious as that. (Mm, the guys having been thru army, will really know what I mean here)
I sat thru the talk with an open mind. Mm, the chance to travel OVERSEAS, get a relatively high income, and also frequently upgrade/learn while working sounded kinda attractive. But ultimately, like what Brendan said, I guess its not a gd idea to sign on after all. Too much regimental stuffs lar..
Why can't my mum stop making silly assumptions?
Whenever my Mum ask about YS, I really don't know what to say to her.. All these while she have been assuming that I'm the one who let her down. Haizz, I don't see the need to tell her the full story. I'd rather she continue to have a good impression of her. I really don't feel the need to prove anything. (But just stop pestering me about her pls? Cos I really don't know anything about her life anymore.. =X)
