Just caught the movie 'Vicki Christina Barcelona' thanks to XZR..
I kinda enjoyed it... Cos it brings a whole new perspective to the meaning of love. I realised that I have always been too narrow-minded, and seemed to accept whatever the society here tells me to believe. YES, I know that sometimes it is easy to just accept whatever that people tell us to believe, but wouldn't that be like living the way others want you to live? Could that be even considered as a life you can call your own?
So yes, some of us choose to be Lesbians, some gays, some bi-sexual and the list goes on. Some guys get married but become unfaithful, some women do the same to their husbands... So, what then, is the kind of love that can truely satisfy everyone...
In the movie, Vicki and Christina were friends who decided to take a short summer break from their lives, in beautiful Barcelona. There, they chanced upon meeting this Casanova-like exotic Spanish painter who eventually made love with the both of them. (on seperate occasions of cos). It then became apparent that this Casanova guy was not the suitable man for both of them, but yet this process of flirtation made both these girls more clear about what they want in a man (well, at least more so for Vicki than Christina)... Its a pretty simple plot. But yet thought-provoking..
