Yesterday, I accompanied Tom for an introductory seminar on 'Patterns of Excellence' conducted by Adam Khoo.. Hmm, this is the second time that I've been to a talk by this millionaire Singaporean who I kinda idolise. Hahs.
Who the hell is.. Adam Knoo?
For those who never heard of his name before, he is a NUS business school (1st class Honours) graduate who made his first million by the age of 26. He currently has 7 different businesses in Events Planning,Educational Group,Digital Printing, etc etc..
Hmm, he drives this sporty BMW that every guy dreams to have.. & also published 4 books, 3 of which are still in Singapores Top Ten Best Sellers.. Point is, he is kinda successful la.. =X
What was the whole talk about then?...
I was actually very inspired by his talk. I came in with the mindset of just accompanying a friend, but I left the room with so much positive thoughts about my life. One thing he mentioned was about how failure is just a stepping stone to success. I know that sounds abit common sense la, but somehow the way he conducted the talk made that point VERY loud. Its like .. all of a sudden, all the failures that I'm currenly experiencing (Be it exams/relationships/driving) suddenly became insignificant.
Happiness, afterall, is not a goal that we work towards to... It is nothing but a state of mind that we can control.
I'm starting to believe that everything happens for a reason. Be it good or bad, just be glad that it happened cos there will eventually come a point in our life when nothing can happen/change anymore. So, live life to the fullest and work towards your goals as if your life depended on it.
